Wayfarer Films, the production house founded by Dulquer Salmaan, has released its seventh film titled Lokah: Chapter One – Chandra. The Malayalam film is designed as the first part of a planned multi-installment superhero cinematic universe.
The film is directed and written by Dominic Arun. Technical credits include cinematography by Nimish Ravi, production design by Banglan, art direction by Jithu Sebastian, music by Jakes Bejoy, editing by Chaman Chacko, and action choreography by Yannick Ben. Each department has contributed to building the visual and technical scope of the project.
Actor Kalyani Priyadarshan plays the central role in the story. The cast also features Naslen, Sandy, Chandu Salim Kumar, Arun Kurian, Vijayaraghavan, and Sarath Sabha, with several guest appearances.
Lokah: Chapter One – Chandra has been released across Kerala and other states. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Sithara Entertainments is distributing the film. Reports from theatres indicate strong openings and encouraging audience response.
As the first installment of a cinematic universe, Lokah is positioned to mark the beginning of a new format of storytelling in Malayalam cinema.
