Despite getting negative reviews, the Hindi version of Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger has taken a decent start at the box office in the Hindi belts.
As per reports, the Hindi debut of the Arjun Reddy actor has opened between Rs. 4.00 to 4.70 crores, with another Rs. 1.30 crore getting into the count from the paid previews on Thursday. Overall, the movie collected nearly Rs. 5.50 crores on its first day in Hindi belts.
Although the movie failed to impress the audience in Telugu states, given its hype on the North side, the audience thronged theatres on the opening day. Hence, we can say that Rs 5.50 Cr is a good number for any debut actor in Bollywood.
Interestingly, Liger has even dominated Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise when it comes to opening day collections. As per the reports, the Puri Jagannadh directorial amassed approx. 1 crore more than Sukumar’s film. After SS Rajamouli’s RRR, the Vijay starrer stands as the second-best opener for a Telugu-based debutant in the Hindi market.
