Andhra Pradesh is witnessing rapid industrial momentum as LG Electronics’ ₹5,000 crore world-class manufacturing facility at Sri City advances at an impressive pace. From land handover in May 2025 to visible, on-ground progress today, the project reflects the state’s growing reputation for speed, scale, and investor confidence, according to IT and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh.
Spread across 247 acres, the upcoming unit will be LG Electronics’ third manufacturing plant in India and a major addition to the state’s industrial landscape. The facility is being developed as a large-scale integrated manufacturing hub that will produce refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, and key components, significantly strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s manufacturing ecosystem.
The project is expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs, offering new opportunities for the state’s youth while supporting ancillary industries in and around Sri City. With production scheduled to begin by the end of 2026, the plant will see phased expansion through 2029, positioning it as a long-term growth engine for the region.
Nara Lokesh expressed satisfaction over the project’s swift progress, stating that Andhra Pradesh continues to deliver on its commitments to investors by ensuring timely clearances, robust infrastructure, and a business-friendly environment. He highlighted that the LG Electronics facility stands as a strong example of how global companies are choosing Andhra Pradesh for large-scale investments due to the state’s focus on execution and ease of doing business.
