Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film “Leo,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has generated immense anticipation among both Tamil and Telugu audiences. Even before its release, the film has already set records in terms of non-theatrical, digital, and overseas rights sales.
Now, the producers have reportedly quoted a record price of 25 Crores for the film’s distribution in the Telugu states. This quote surpasses Vijay’s previous career-best of around 15 Crores and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s best of 20 Crores in the Telugu market.
However, the film has garnered significant buzz in Telugu states due to the director’s established brand and the success of their previous collaboration, “Master,” which was a blockbuster in both Tamil and Telugu.
Although “Leo” will release during Dussehra instead of the advantageous Sankranthi period like “Master,” hopes are high that the film will achieve blockbuster status at the box office. The film is slated to hit screens on October 19th.
