The response of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament on Monday to a question by Visakhapatnam MP MVV Satyanarayana on the privatization of Visakhapatnam steel was a shock to the steel plant workers and people of AP. Large-scale agitations have been going on in Visakhapatnam since last night.
The protestors at the main gate of the steel plant at Kurmannapalem junction on the national highway raised large-scale concerns opposing the decision of the Union govt.
The protest by the protesters at Kurmannapalem is still going on. The Steel plant Fighting Committee called for the block of the Steel plant Administration building in Visakhapatnam in protest of the Union govt decision.
