There is a subsequent loss of income has led to a massive crisis in several villages of Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district. It goes beyond poverty, beyond the want of food and shelter, and takes on dimensions of social degradation and decay. Women in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantpur district are being forced into prostitution to make ends meet.
This is the story of a lady named Padmavati who lost her parents in childhood and has been raised by her relatives since then. Now, Padmavati wanted to support that family who are struggling to marry her. She approached a friend of hers to find her a job so that she can’t be a burden for her relatives anymore. Her friend said that she knows someone who can actually help.
Later Padmavati was placed in another lady’s house by her friend in Proddatur. Days continue to pass by but Padmavat hasn’t seen any progress in her job trials. Later Padmavati who lost her patience confronted her friend only to find her true nature. She told Padmavati to turn as a prostitute so that she can earn more money within a short period and that is the whole purpose of bringing her to Proddatur.
Baffled with the words of her friend, Padmavati escaped from the clutches of that lady and reached the local police to complain. The investigation is underway.
