Andhra Pradesh State Government is taking the Women Protection very seriously. It is known that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched the Disha App recently. Using this App a lady received help and the App’s efficiency was tested to be of high quality.
A Government Officer in Eluru who is Excise Superintendent was harassed by a stranger. The incident took place when she was traveling from Vizag to Vijayawada. When she was being troubled in the Bus, she immediately used Disha App and shared the information with the local police.
Though it was early morning 4:30am, within 5 minutes of receiving the information, Eluru’s 3-Town Police have reached the Bus. Immediately the culprit was arrested and a Zero FIR was registered. The Public appreciated the way Disha App works.
