It seems like the Dubbaka by-poll result shook the cadre of the TRS in Telangana as they have faced the first signs of opposition from the people towards their rule. Harish Rao, before polling said that their victory is unanimous with 1 lakh majority. Later the KCR and co are very concerned about the upcoming GHMC elections and now they have a definite plan in order not to face another backlash.
Now, the minister KTR is giving some gifts to the Hyderabad people. KTR announced gifts to turn the metropolitan people on their side. GHMC has announced a 50 per cent rebate for property tax deductions of Rs 15,000 for 2020-21 and a 50 per cent rebate for property tax deductions of less than Rs 10,000 in other parts of the state. GHMC increased the wage from 14500 for sanitation workers to 17500. They said they had to apply at your service to receive flood relief.
With this, a total of hundreds of crores were added to the additional burden. Even voters feel that these kindness from the TRS is too desperate for victory and they see CBN in KTR who announced the last minute schemes before the 2019 general elections. However, one thing is clear that the TRS party is terrified with the Dubbaka result. KTR won 99 seats in the 2016 Greater Election.
Now, there is no hint of the magic. The defeat of Kavitha, the suicides of inter students and the floods in Hyderabad need to be answered by the government. With these latest decisions, the TRS is hoping for two obvious results. One is to maintain dominance over the Greater, two is to deprive the BJP of another chance.
But everything that KTR is doing is just irking the Hyderabad people who are in search of a permanent solution but not for some relaxations or gifts. The people in twin cities live in one of the biggest metropolitan cities in the country and yet they face more difficulties than the people who are living in towns at the time of rains. Will KTR ever focus on these developmental works?
