BRS working president KTR strongly criticised members of the Youth Congress for staging a protest at the AI Impact Summit 2026, calling the act irresponsible and damaging to India’s global image. Reacting to the incident, KTR said that using an international platform meant to showcase India’s progress in artificial intelligence for political theatrics sends a wrong message to the world and puts the country in a poor light before global delegates and investors.
KTR stated that while differences of opinion are natural in a democracy, there is a proper time and place to express dissent. He said that an international summit attended by global leaders, policymakers, industry experts and investors is not the right venue for political protests. According to him, such actions divert attention from the purpose of the event, which is to highlight India’s growing role in technology and innovation.
He also pointed out the irony of the situation, noting that the Youth Congress members chose to stage the protest at the exact time when their own party’s Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, was addressing the AI Impact Summit. KTR remarked that this reflects poor judgement and a lack of understanding of how international platforms should be respected.
The AI Impact Summit 2026 is aimed at promoting India as a major hub for artificial intelligence, digital innovation and technology investments. Leaders from various countries, global tech companies and policy experts are attending the summit to discuss future collaborations, investments and the role of AI in economic growth. Political observers said that incidents like these could distract from the main agenda of such global events and may affect the image of India as a professional and reliable host for international conferences.
