Krishna Vrinda Vihari starring Naga Shaurya and Shirley Setia as the lead pair under the direction of Anish R Krishna has hit the screens today. Let’s check how it is.
Story:
Krishna( Naga Shaurya) who hails from a traditional Brahmin falls for a girl named Vrinda ( Shirley Setia) at the workplace. Later, Krishna somehow manages to impress Vrinda and proposes her for marriage. With a twist in the tale, the rest of the drama is all about how the couple takes their relationship to the next phase by getting acceptance from both sides of the families, What kind of hurdles they face in the marriage life, and how do they resolve them in the end.
On-screen performances:
Naga Shaurya did his part really well in the lead role and heroine Shirley Setia is just ok.Tamil actor Amitash Pradhan did ok in project manager character. Senior actress Radhika Sharathkumar as a traditional Bhramin mother role played it very well.
Rest of the artists such as Brahmaji, Rahul Ramakrishna, Vennela Kishore and Satya are okay in their comic roles.
Off-screen Talents:
Director Anish R. Krishna should have focused more on writing, as it lacks emotions and logics at times. The screenplay is flat and dilutes the audience interest with unengaging presentation primarily in the first half. The realization scenes for Mother in law and Daughter in law were rushy and lacks emotions. Music by Mahathi Swara Sagar is average. Cinematography by Sai Sriram is decent overall. Editing by Tammiraju is okay as he kept the runtime within limits.
Positive Points:
- Naga Shourya
- Some drama in 2nd half
- Couple of comedy tracks
Negative Points:
- Poor writing
- Project manager thread
- Lacks emotional connectivity
- Flat Narration
Verdict:
First half of the movie is below average with flat narration and a twist towards the interval. Second half has some decent drama compared to first half with couple of comedy scenes and a twist. But overall – Poor writing, lack of emotions (due to Rushy realization scenes) and some sense less tracks makes it a below average movie in the end.

First Half Report: Krishna (Naga Shourya) works in the same office and reports to Vrinda (Shirley Setia). Krishna falls in love with Vrinda, but they have problem that makes it difficult to get elder’s acceptance. Krishna Vrinda Vihari has nothing exciting to offer, it’s a routine story with poor writing and screenplay. Second half should be extraordinarily good to make it overall an average flick.
Final Report: Although Second half has decent drama compared to first half and couple of comedy scenes, Poor writing and lack of emotions doesn’t make it a worthy watch.
