Kona said that Pawan Kalyan is unnecessarily targeting Jagan, and ignoring Chandrababu Naidu. Pawan must have done Padayatra like Jagan to get good political mileage. Aggrieved over this, the Pawan fans trolled the writer on the social media.
As the issue turned worse, Kona responded to it on his Facebook. His post read, “My grand father Kona Prabhakar Rao served Congress party as an MLA, minister, assembly speaker and also the Congress president for the combined Andhra Pradesh and even as the governor for three states and was identified for his dedication throughout his political career. After his death, my uncle Kona Raghupathi served the party, spending his own money for the party.”
“In 2014, Jagan identified my uncle and offered him a ticket and my uncle won the seat. My family was appreciated by Bapatla people, from 1983 to 2014. Even Pawan Kalyan congratulated my uncle,” Kona Venkat posted.
He further added, “I supported Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena in 2014 and had to face trolls from the YSRCP. But I told them that its my personal choice and always wished for the good of Pawan.”
“In my recent interview for Sakshi, I said that I would be the first person to be happy, if Pawan Kalyan wins in the elections. But this line was not printed in the paper. They just asked whether I oppose anything about Janasena and then I had to open up saying someone misguided Pawan Kalyan behind his joining hands with BSP. I had to say this, because Pawan himself once said that he liked KCR and the way he is ruling. It’s then I had doubts on Pawan and so had to open up about it in front of the media.”
“Finally, friendship has nothing to do with caste, religion, financial abilities etc. I once again wholeheartedly wish him the best in his journey to achieve what he wants”, Kona Venkat posted on his facebook.
