Well, Andhra Pradesh politics have multiple trending topics at the moment. The three capital issue, ‘Water controversy’ with Telangana, constant poking of Raghu Rama Raju, Somu Veerraaju’s effort to establish BJP as a recognizable party in the state are some of them. Out of all, Somu Veerraju’s active politics all these days really puzzled the AP people. They are asking themselves some questions such as – What does he aim for? What could he do? and who are his target?
Somu Veerraju met Chiranjeevi. End of the story. You can imagine his thoughts and plans in a larger context. In AP, a well-known fact is that the party which pleases the Kapu community will have more chances to come into power when compared to others. It is true that around 100 seats in this state are being influenced by the Kapu community either directly or indirectly.
Now, after Somu Veerraju met Chiru, BJP’s interest in forming an alliance with Pawan Kalyan, Somu Veerraju’s presidential post…. Everything is falling into one place. BJP got to know the importance of Kapu community in the state. For decades, no Kapu leader has been throned as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the closes they managed to acquire is the Deputy CM chair.
Many Kapu community people still consider Chiru as their icon irrespective of his political failure. Not only Veerraju, but Jagan also did manage to make the ‘Kapu community believe’ that he has been in good ties with their icon. Even CBN wouldn’t dare to spell out a word against Chiru. Kapu leaders are already given some key posts in the government, cabinet, and in the ruling party as well. So, it is interesting to see who is going to get this ‘Key’ community to their side and loot their vote bank in the next elections.
