Kesineni Nani, who is not in good terms with any of the TDP leaders for quite some time, was anticipated to quit the party, right after Telugu Desam, stepped down from the government.
But as YSRCP closed the doors for the entry of other party leaders, they are left with the only option of choosing BJP. While a few leaders from TDP, have already shifted to the Lotus party, even Nani was anticipated to make a move.
But Nani enjoys a massive following in Vijayawada constituency. Even in the wave of YSRCP in the entire state, he could win in his constituency, on the TDP’s ticket, which itself speaks about his strength. So if at all, he jumps into BJP, it may ruin his political career completely, as the national party has no base in AP at all, as revealed in the recent elections.
Andhrites are strictly against BJP, for ignoring the special category status. So there is no way, Nani would get any mileage to his political career, from the party. So he is still continuing in TDP and waiting for a right opportunity to make a jump. It seems, finally, he got one such chance now.

Hinting the same, Kesineni Nani is seen in a group selfie with the YSRCP leaders, among which YSRCP MLA Raghurama Krishnamraju is a part of. As Nani’s exit is something that is being expected by TDP leaders, including Naidu since long, it may no longer shock any of them, if at all, Nani considers defecting.
