Telangana Chief Minister KCR was a regular visitor at the Raj Bhavan, the residence of the Telangana Governor when ESL Narasimhan was the governor of the state. However, things changed when Tamilisai Soundararajan became the Governor of the state. KCR started skipping even crucial events at the Raj Bhavan, including the Republic Day celebrations.
KCR even stopped going to the Raj Bhavan to meet with the Governor ahead of the commencement of the Budget session of the Legislative Assembly, even though it is required by the constitution. Everyone started to wonder why this happened, and why the distance grew between Pragathi Bhavan and Raj Bhavan.
Sources are now saying that the reason for this is because Governor Tamilisai rejected the nomination of Padi Kaushik Reddy as MLC under Governor’s quota approved by KCR in August last year, even after delaying it for four months. This led to KCR sending Kaushik Reddy as MLC under MLAs’ quota in November last year. Furthermore, the Governor set up up a’ complaint box’ at Raj Bhavan main gate on the occasion of New Year 2022 on January 1st, to enable people to lodge complaints on any issue, and is forwarding these complaints to the TRS government.
