Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) President and chief minister K Chandrasekhara Rao on Monday made it clear that he would back the demand of neighboring Andhra Pradesh demand for Special Category Status (SCS) as promises at the time of bifurcation.
Addressing a mammoth election meeting in Nizamabad, he declared “we extend our full support to our Telugu brethren in AP to their demand for SCS, which they genuinely deserve”. He blamed TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu for diluting the fight for SCS .
“Had he not accepted the Special Package offer and insisted nothing less than promised SCS, today things would have different. Should he blamed for that,” he asked the people.
He professed of the YSRCP victory in AP now looks certain and he would not mind working with Jaganmohan Reddy to achieve their demand. KCR said, people in AP are very good and they deserve justice from the Centre.
He also found fault with TDP Chief for making false allegations against him. “I don’t know why he is abusing me? Am I responsible for the mess he created for himself in his state? Who asked him to trust Modi or BJP? Shouldn’t he answerable to people of his state for his faux pas?” KCR pointed out.
However, he said time has come for him to go and the people there wanted a change of guard. Even pollsters are saying that YSRCP is going to bag as many 20 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats. “I also have my own surveys, which indicate of TDP’s debacle certain.”
In case of Telangana, he claimed people are in no mood to vote for either the Congress or BJP and wanted to strengthen his hands to raise our voice for justice in Delhi, whenever necessary.
