The CAA had created ripples not just in India but all over the world. This move by the country’s leader was not expected by the foreign countries.
While the world is already witnessing how the citizenship approach by President Trump in USA and other countries too in Europe are affecting the immigration problem.
Definitely the world was not happy with India taking such strong decisions while it was expected to just be passive aggressive and have no voice of any oppression from the West and the terrorism threats and play victim.
Now when we don’t want to be victims anymore, the world feels intimidated at the empowerment India started to display in dealing with its internal affairs.
Instead of supporting the Centra Government in handling this smoothly, looks like the State Governments are in confusion not wanting to go against minority votes in their States.
One of them is KCR who banks largely on Muslim community vote share with Hyderabad being a city equally owned by both communities.
KCR wants to follow the route of Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan and West Bengal of rejecting the CAA in their State Assemblies. But State does not have authority to accept or reject this Bill.
The declaration of Citizenship of anyone in the country does not fall under the jurisdiction of any State Law. And they too know it. It is just a show play for the concerned parties to feel that this party is on their side.
