In Telangana, the elections for the two MLC graduate seats will be held on March 14. In addition to the MLC position for Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy, and Hyderabad graduates, elections will also be held for the Graduate MLC position in Nalgonda, Khammam, and Warangal joint districts. It is learned that the TRS party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao had finalized Surabhi Vanidevi, daughter of former Prime Minister PV Narsimha Rao, as the TRS candidate for the Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad graduate MLC post.
Whereas, the analysts are of the opinion that introducing Surabhi Vani as an MLC graduate post will definitely cause a backlash to the KCR government. They say that KCR’s plan to attract Brahim community votes is a wrong strategy. Because, of this, it is clear that KCR is losing support from the other backward communities including SC and STs.
However, the sitting MLC N Ramachandra Rao of BJP has never used his Brahim background during the elections but he has won the elections last time. So, the analysts are of the opinion that KCR’s plan will not help him.
