Telangana Chief Minister, and TRS chief KCR has faced several losses in the past few months, and the general consensus, according to KCR’s surveys, is said to be that the people of the state are losing confidence in his party and its members. From the recent losses, KCR is said to have come to the opinion that this is because of the sitting MLAs mostly, and not because the people don’t believe in him.
As a result, KCR is said to have come to a decision to change most of the sitting MLAs in the coming elections. He is said to have rejected the seats for most of the sitting MLAs and is said to be preferring to give these tickets to new faces. Only those who have a good track record and a hold over their current constituencies are expected to be retained in the upcoming elections.
In the GHMC elections, all the sitting candidates lost the elections, while new faces managed to win. These results are said to have influenced KCR’s thoughts and decisions. While it is good that KCR is opting for new candidates, who have a good financial backup, and a good name in their localities, this might result in an uprising within the TRS, with the current sitting MLAs rebelling against him. It is now to be seen what will happen.
