Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan is busy with his political tour in the Andhra constituencies and has started becoming active again, after taking his sweet time to recover from the party’s debacle in the recent elections.
On the other side, he is facing the heat from Telanganiites and are even protesting against Pawan Kalyan accusing him of speaking as if the Telangana movement was led by drunkards. Regarding this, they had even staged protests at his residence and also party office in Hyderabad.
According to the protesters, the actor turned politician said that Telangana agitation ended after the ban on liquor. They were hurt with Pawan allegedly linking the agitation with alcohol. Reacting to the issue, Pawan Kalyan said that his comments were misunderstood and he termed it as a conspiracy to disturb his political tour in Bhimavaram.
“It is not about the Telangana government, but my statement was about the Andhra government, which made the liquor prohibition promise before the election. I had mentioned about the quote from Puchalapalli Sundaraiah’s book on Telangana Sayudha Poratam. Conveyed it’s impossible to implement liquor prohibition if it’s part of our culture,” Pawan said.
Not stopping there, He also warned that the consequences would be severe if the protesters target his house, where his children are residing in. He further mentioned that he do not mind apologizing if he really speaks anything wrong.
He sought the notice of TS CM KCR and also Governor ESL Narasimhan towards the issue and assure an appropriate action. While there were allegations that YSRCP tried its best in defeating Pawan Kalyan in Bhimavaram, now exactly at the time when the party chief is touring in the constituency, the agitations of this sort are proving it to be true. A few say that it proves the mutual understanding of KCR and AP CM Jagan, who are allegedly trying to erase the impact of Pawan Kalyan in both the Telugu states.
