After a blockbuster like Khaidi, Karthi is aiming to continue the success streak even with his upcoming film Donga (Thambi in Tamil).
With Jyothika playing a prominent role in the film and the recently released trailer was found impressive, Donga has garnered a good buzz among the Film Nagar circles. As Khaidi collected Rs. 34 lakhs on its opening day, Donga is anticipated to witness anything between Rs.40 lakhs to Rs.45 lakhs. The figures may go high if the positive talk comes out on the first day.
Khaidi has been started on a low buzz as Karthi’s earlier films were disappointed at the box office. But Khaidi’s success has boosted Donga to make it big at the box office.
As of now, 50 theaters have been confirmed for Donga and more theaters are expected to be added. Keeping Hyderabad aside, 30 theaters have been confirmed for now and the count may go high. A total of 100 theaters in Nizam are going to screen Donga. Coming to AP, the film is going to hit in 150 theaters. Thus, Donga will be screened in a total of 250 theaters across the Telugu states.
