The chief minister of Karnataka BS Yediyurappa is set to step down from the post. He recently met with the prime minister Narendra Modi, and BJP national president JP Nadda to discuss the same.
It is heard that Yediyurappa is reluctant to step down but the BJP high command insisted on it for various reasons. Yediyurappa had to bow down to the pressure that was being asserted on him by the BJP high command.
Yediyurappa had his fair share of demands if he is resign the chief minister post. He took assurance from BJP high command that his inputs will be taken into consideration while picking the new chief minister. Also, he was promised that his sons would receive top posts in the government.
The stage is set for Yediyurappa’s resignation. It is about time that he steps down and a new BJP MLA takes up the coveted post. BJP is likely to take the final call on the new chief minister of Karnataka very soon.
