Kanna Lakshminarayana is expected to be made the President of the Andhra Pradesh BJP once again. Exactly a year ago, Somu Veerraju was made the President, and now talks are being done to once again make Kanna the President, as the BJP elders are said to be of the belief that the BJP’s presence was strongly felt in AP when Kanna was the President.
On the other hand, after Somu was made the President, the BJP became more sublime in AP, with the BJP supporting Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s every decision, and not opposing anything strongly. Kanna, meanwhile, had promised to the farmers of Amaravati that he would fight against the government to make sure that Amaravati would be retained as the capital of Andhra Pradesh.
As a result, the national leaders of BJP are said to be considering Kanna as the President of BJP once again, and the official announcement of the same is expected to be made very soon. The BJP has been trying to comet o the forefront in AP like it did in Telangana, where Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay has been making the TRS leaders sweat.
