Kangana Ranaut, a national award-winning actress, is known for her outspoken nature. She has often made controversial statements about Bollywood’s elite. However, she has also shown admiration for the South Indian film industry and its talented actors.
Recently, Kangana ventured into Tamil cinema with grand biopic “Thalaivi,” where she portrayed a former Chief Minister Jayalalitha. Despite a pan-Indian release, the movie did not perform well at the box office.
Her latest Tamil film, “Chandramukhi 2,” intended as a pan-Indian project, faced a disappointing response, especially in Telugu. Kangana’s portrayal of Chandramukhi, a character originally played by Jyothika, received criticism.
Despite her appearance in a Telugu film alongside Prabhas in “Ek Niranjan,” Kangana has yet to find substantial success in the South Indian film industry.
