Telangana Chief Minister KCR inaugurated Kaleshwaram Project this morning, with the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra Jagan Mohan Reddy and Fadnavis respectively, and also governor Narasimhan attended as the chief guests.
The ex minister Harish Rao was the first to come into the minds, when the discussions regarding the Kaleshwaram project come forward. For the past three years, he worked day and night to ensure the completion of the project. But now, Harish being away from the inauguration event is worrying a few of the TRS circles.

Harish Rao was even ignored in KCR cabinet after 2018 assembly elections in Telangana and even the chances are less, to get inducted, in the remaining positions.
While several felt that Harish Rao is getting ignored by KCR, to uplift KTR as the next successor of TRS, now the ex irrigation minister tweeted regarding Kaleshwaram project and gave KCR, the complete credit of completing it.
Unwilling to invite any criticism on the state government, it seems, a few of the officials have forced Harish Rao to tweet about the issue. But his absence at the inauguration of Kaleshwaram project is surely being felt by those who are closing following the party activities.
Termed as World’s Biggest Lift Irrigation Project, Kaleshwaram project is built with an estimated cost of Rs. 80,500 crore and its capacity is 147 TMCs. It provides water for 106 mandals in 13 districts and irrigate crops in 1581 villages. Adding to it, it will also supply drinking water of 30 TMCs to Hyderabad and another 16 TMCs for Industrial use.
