The discussion about Andhra Pradesh elections cannot be completed, without discussing about KA Paul. The Praja Shanthi President was the only stress-reliever amidst of huge political heat in the state.
During the political campaign, Paul came out with some sensational statements that he would win with 150 seats in hand and form the government in Andhra Pradesh. He challenged to defeat Pawan Kalyan and Nagababu in their respective constituencies. He tried to confuse YSRCP voters, by offering tickets to the candidates whose names were similar to YSRCP candidates in about 30 constituencies. Adding to it, his political campaigning was a huge laughing stock in the state.
Now, after the elections, as expected by everyone, Paul had to face a miserable defeat. Forget about winning the seats, the votes the party president was polled in Narsapuram assembly were 281 and for Lok Sabha, he was polled 2987 votes.
If this is the case with the party president, it is needless to discuss about the other candidates of Praja Shanthi Party. None of the candidates were polled more than 300 votes. The only credit Paul achieved in AP is that he is the only entertainer during the elections and also after the results.
