Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he will make sure every culprit who resort to harassment on women will face justice within three weeks.
In the ongoing assembly meetings, Jagan spoke about Disha’s rape and murder case. He said that the incident disturbed him a lot and forced him to come up with stronger laws against the rapists. He clarified that right after a harassment takes place on woman, a proper investigation will be conducted in the first week, 2nd week will be spent on trial and justice will be served in 3rd week.
He appreciated the Telangana government’s move of encountering the culprits involved in Disha’s rape and murder. He lashed out at Human Rights activists and others for opposing the encounter and trying to go against the state government and police over it. Jagan stressed that there is an immediate need of bringing strict laws against the women harassment and opined that only then the crimes against women would come down.

Telangana Congress Affairs Committee chairman Vijayashanthi appreciated Jagan for striving to bring a new law for women. She considered it as a need of the hour. It should be seen whether the rest of the opposition leaders too appreciate AP government’s move or not.
