For the unversed, actress and environmentalist Juhi Chawla had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against the implementation of 5G telecom technology in India.
The HC on Friday dismissed the actress’ petition against the untested 5G network and imposed a fine of Rs 20 lakh on her and two other appellants for abusing the process of law.
In its order, the High Court said that it seems that the suit was for publicity. The HC said Juhi Chawla circulated the link of the hearing on social media, which made disruption thrice.
The court also directed the Delhi Police to identify the persons and take action against those who created a disruption.
Meanwhile, Juhi Chawla has clarified that her agenda is not to ban 5G technology in India.
