Bollywood actor-producer John Abraham is set to deliver the Hindi remake of hit Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum, which features Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in the prominent roles.
The Malayali action thriller directed by Sachy starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon was released earlier this year, which became a massive hit and garnered huge profits. John, who has been producing films under the banner JA Entertainment, took to Twitter to make the declaration that he is gong to acquire the Hindi remake rights of the hit Malayalam flick. The Batla House star said he was intrigued by the ideal parity of action, thrill and an enthralling story line in Ayyappanum Koshiyum.
“At JA Entertainment we are keen to bring such appealing stories to our audience..we hope to make a truly engaging film with this remake in Hindi. Really Excited !!!” John Abraham tweeted.
By doing what we do with dedication and focus, we hope to make a truly engaging film with this remake. This film also fits right into our future plans as we believe that the Hindi film industry will bounce back with efficient and entertaining projects soon after the COVID-19 crisis,” John stated.
The JA banner has previously funded films such as Ayushmann Khurrana’s debut Vicky Donor, Madras Cafe, Rocky Handsome, Force 2, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran and Batla House, in which he also played a key role.
The premise of the plot in Ayyappanum Koshiyum portrays a wild ego battle between Koshy Kurien, an influential and rich ex-havaldar and Ayyappan Nair, a Sub-inspector with flawless record in Attappadi. The music was composed by Jakes Bejoy.
