As the Article 370 has been scrapped and Jammu and Kashmir has been decided to be bifurcated into two, it is expected to bring the positive vibes to the Telugu states too.
The governments of both the Telugu states- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, earlier requested the Centre for the delimitation of the assembly constituencies in the states. But as the BJP was unable to make any impact during the elections, it ignored all such requests from the governments.
But now, it is resorting to the delimitation of the constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir. So, it is bound to consider the requests of the state governments of both the Telugu states too.
In that case, Telangana’s constituencies count will go up from 117 to 151 and in AP, it will rise to 225 seats, from the existing 175.

But, as BJP was able to win four Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, the Lotus Party is now pinning high hopes on TS alone. It may consider delimitation in Telangana, but not Andhra, as the national party is yet to make any impact in AP.
There is not even one percent vote share for BJP in the state. So at this point of time, delimiting would increase the power of YSRCP even more, but may not be helpful to the BJP in any manner. Much to the worse, if it considers delimitation only in TS, then even the traces of Lotus Party may not be found in AP, anytime soon.
