The clash between YSRCP MLA Pedda Reddy and TDP’s former MLA JC Prabhakar Reddy created high tension situation in Anantapur District’s Tadipatri. Peddareddy alleges that a man named Kiran is criticizing him on social media. In this regard, Peddareddy and his followers came to JC Prabhakarreddy’s house in vehicles and got into an argument.
Pedda Reddy and his men attacked Kiran in JC’s house and the former was severely injured. The war escalated as the JC community also counter-attacked. Several vehicles were wrecked as the two groups pelted stones. The police rushed to the spot and dispersed the two groups. JC followers set fire to the chair where Peddareddy was sitting at Jesse Prabhakar Reddy’s residence.
This is the first time JC’s house in Tadipatri has been attacked. There have been instances in the past where political leaders have been severely critical of each other. But, JC Prabhakarreddy swayed angrily as Pedda Reddy came on to his house and attacked his men.
Police were heavily deployed at JCs residence in the wake of the attack and in the meanwhile, the followers of Prabhakar Reddy flocked to the residence of JC to guard their leader.
