With the Union government proposing to privatize the Visakha Steel Plant, there is a widespread concern over the people of Andhra Pradesh. Employee Union leaders have been staging agitation and protests for the past few days.
The workers also gave strike notice to the Steel plant administration. The youth, students, public associations, and various political parties are opposing the privatization except BJP.
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has twice written letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. YS Jagan asked the Union govt to reconsider its decision on the Visakhapatnam steel plant.
Recently, the TDP senior minister JC Divakarreddy from Tadipatri, Anantapur district, made sensational remarks on the Visakhapatnam steel plant movement. He said that the Visakhapatnam steel plant will definitely be privatized and Modi will not take back his decision.
