Janaka Aithe Ganaka is a 2024 Telugu language comedy-drama film written and directed by Sandeep Bandla. The film has Suhas & Sangeerthana Vipin playing the lead roles while Venalla Kishore, Rajendra Prasad, Goparaju Ramana, Murali Sharma, Prabhas Seenu, Tenali Shakuntala, Rupa Lakshmi, Srivani Tripuraneni, Surender Reddy & others are seen in important supporting roles. The music is composed by Vijai Bulganin while the film is produced by Harshith Reddy & Hanshitha Reddy under Dil Raju Productions banner.
Story:
Prasad (Suhas) is a humble middle-class man who gets married to his wife (Sangeerthana) at a very young age. As he lives in a joint family, he is pressured to have kids but wants to refrain from having children unless he is financially well-off. But one day, he gets to know that his wife is pregnant and is surprised to know this as he uses protection. So, he files a case against the condom manufacturing company with the help of his lawyer friend Kishore (Venalla Kishore). Will he win the case? What are the consequences? Needs to be seen in the film.
What about on-screen performances?
Suhas takes on another interesting role, shining with compassion as he immerses himself in the character of a middle-class man who doesn’t want kids until he gets to be financially stable. He gives a very natural performance as Prasad and particularly does well in all the courtroom scenes.
Sangeerthana Vipin does a superb job as the wife of Prasad. She delivers a compelling performance and she shines in the scene where she makes an entry in the court in the second half enhancing the overall storyline.
Venalla Kishore is the biggest strength of the film with respect to the comedy. All his funny one-liners and frustration scenes in the court work well. Especially his last scene in the court where he tells all his troubles as a father is hilarious and will surely bring the house down in laughter.
Rajendra Prasad and Prabhas Seenu also add their touch of fun in their respective roles in the court while Murali Sharma leaves a mark in an important role that comes in the latter half.
Goparaju Ramana, Tenali Shakuntala, and Rupa Lakshmi contribute their best to the film as Suhas’s family members while Srivani Tripuraneni, Surender Reddy & all other supporting cast are good in their parts.
What about off-screen talents?
The story by Sandeep Bandla is novel and the need of the hour. It has good a unique concept along with a few straightforward facts said in a very entertaining manner that is very relatable to all the people who think about finances before becoming a parent.
The screenplay has its share of ups and downs but the best thing about the writing is that there is a funny scene at every main juncture in the film. Except for a few flat scenes in the first half along with a few repetitive portions in the latter half, the rest of the film is highly entertaining.
The scene where Suhas takes his father on a ride and explains all the kid’s expenses in today’s time and all the courtroom scenes are the best parts of the film. Special mention to the couple of twists that come towards the end. They are so beautifully conceived that they leave us with a smile at the end of the film.
Director Sandeep Bandla does an excellent job with his craft. His writing is decent and the way he presented the film concerning middle-class families deserves appreciation. Also, he has handled the sensitive condom topic in a very sensible manner so that the family audience can watch the film without any vulgarity or discomfort.
The songs by Vijai Bulganin are praiseworthy. ‘Naa Favourite Naa Pellam’ is the best one of the album and ‘Nuvve Naku Lokam’ is good too. His background score is in sync with the film’s mood.
The cinematography by Sai Sriram is good but his lighting could’ve been a little better in the interior portions of the house.
The edit by Kodati Pavan Kalyan is neat and adequate.
The production values by Dil Raju Productions are good.

Verdict: On the whole, Janaka Aithe Ganaka is an entertaining family drama with a unique concept that is very relatable to all the parents along with a good message to today’s youth. The way the makers showcased the facts related to children’s expenses is the need of the hour to all young parents and a couple of twists towards the end give us a very satisfying movie experience. A must-watch film with your whole family!!
