There are a few highly memorable films in the career of any actor, films that have changed the trajectory of their career forever or films that reaffirmed their place in the industry. Such films are Pokiri and Jalsa, for Mahesh and Pawan Kalyan, respectively.
Both these films were re-released recently, in 4K, with Pokiri having been re-released on the occasion of Mahesh’s birthday, while Jalsa was re-released on the occasion of Pawan’s birthday.
Pokiri and Jalsa have collected quite well for a re-release, setting an all-new trend, and while it was thought Pokiri’s re-release collections would not be overtaken by any other movie, Jalsa’s re-release numbers have definitely overtaken Pokiri’s collections in absolute style.
While Pokiri managed to collect Rs. 1.73 Crores at the box office, in over 375 shows, Jalsa managed to collect Rs. 3.20 Crores at the box office, in over 710 special shows around the globe, which is almost double Pokiri’s collections.
