Union Minister Arun Jaitley, severely went against the Congress party, for including special category status as a promise in its party manifesto.
Jaitley said that the 14th Finance Commission had removed the granting of special status to any state and no one will be spared if AP is given the special status. He noted that Andhra Pradesh received special package which is equivalent to what the state could have got with the special status.
He criticized the Congress officials for allegedly making such blatant promises and questioned that from where will the party get funds for the special status? The Congress is unnecessarily inviting the troubles from the other states, by making such fake promises, Jaitley opined.
Having seeing the harsh statements of Jaitley that the Centre would not spare anyone if AP is given the special status, is a perfect example to say, who rude is the BJP with Andhra Pradesh. It is this type of ruthless ruling, that made AP people throw BJP out of the state. In spite of such insults, BJP still campaigned in the Andhra regions, without even promising the special status to the state. There is no turn out of public for any of the BJP meetings in the state, which is evident that its time for the party to pack their bags from the state.
While Congress already lost its identity in AP, after bifurcating the Telugu states, now even another national party BJP lost it completely, leaving the AP’s future in the hands of regional parties only. If at all the Congress elects back to power this time, and announces the special status for Andhra, only then the party can get back the lost glory.
On the other side, even BSP Chief Mayawati has announced to provide the special status to AP, and the election prospects are positive on her side, as the public is aware of Congress and BJP earlier, but are yet to taste the ruling of the new party and new leaders.
