The YSRCP government of Andhra Pradesh, headed by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has already been at the centre of many embarrassments ever since it came to power, regarding many issues, including its many financial problems.
Now, yet another embarrassment seems to be on its way for the YSRCP, with the retired civil servants of the state planning to write a letter to the Central government over the delay in their pension amounts being deposited, by the state government. If these retired civil servants in fact go to the Centre and ask the Centre for their pensions, the state government would have to put up with many dire consequences given that the state is already put in a bind by the centre, for having surpassed its loan limit, and for its prodigal spending of money.
The state government is giving more importance to releasing the funds for its various welfare schemes, than to depositing the salary for the state government employees and releasing the pensions for all the pensioners. If the retired civil servants end up writing a letter to the Centre now, the state government will have to take a lot of flak. The state government is said to be trying its best to avoid this situation, and it is now to be seen what will happen.
