Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy, have been asked to get ready for the hearings in the case regarding India Cements, in which both of them are involved. The CBI, ED court has passed this statement, in regards to the illegal assets case against Jagan.
The CBI asked the court for some time to file a counter-petition for the discharge petition of Retired IAS Officer Samuel. The hearing on the Inda Cements charge sheet has been scheduled on August 6th.
Lawyers arguing on behalf of Jagan and Vijayasai said that the HC has put the decision on whether or not the cases pertaining to the ED are to be heard first. The HC has also accepted the request to postpone the hearing and has thus scheduled the hearing on August 6th. On the other hand, the hearing on the MR scams has been scheduled to be heard on August 4th.
