YS Jagan Mohan Reddy finally did back off by nominating Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar as the State Election Commissioner as he was left with no choice to extend the trouble for Ramesh Kumar. Now, Nimmagadda, as soon as he gets hold of his office and started to trouble the government already. He ordered a probe into the ‘Vasthu’ thing that happened to his office in his absence.
Now, Nimmagadda is up for another challenge with Jagan Mohan Reddy and most surprisingly, Jagan himself is taking a risk to provide a chance for Nimmagadda to pounce upon his government. It is known that by March 2021, Jagan will take a crucial decision about the new districts’ formation in the Andhra Pradesh and he is likely to announce the list of those districts at the same time as well.
Jagan has decided to go for local body polls after Sankranthi, most probably after the announcement of the new districts for better understanding of the change in the context and course of the local politics that is going to happen at the regional level.
On the other side, Nimmagadda has been very determinant to revoke the nomination process of the local body polls that happened previously. While Ramesh Kumar is finding a way to issue orders for another nomination process for local body polls, Jagan gave a chance to him as he decided to go for polls after the formation of new districts.
So, Nimmagadda might try his level best citing the violence and unconstitutional activities that happened during the nomination process and might argue that the ruling party is behind it, reportedly. When Jagan tries to retaliate, Nimmagadda will ask the AP government to delay the process of the formation of new districts until the polls happen and results come out which is nothing but disrupting and ruining Jagan’s entire plan.
So, it is clear that the upcoming days in AP politics will be very interesting to watch.
