The government of Andhra Pradesh has been greatly scrutinised by the public and the opposition parties as well, for the way it has not been able to stop the atrocities against the Hindu religion in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Hundreds of temples have been attacked, and hundreds of God idols along with them.
The incident at the Ramatheertham temple took people to greater lengths of intolerance with the government, as the government has not been taking proper action against those who are performing such atrocities. The Bharatiya Janata Party has even called for a “Chalo Ramatheertham” movement, and the Telugu Desam Party ahs been protesting ever since the incident took place.
Now, the YSRCP government has decided to construct all those small temples that were demolished for the construction of the new Kanaka Durga Flyover in Vijayawada, during the TDP rule. These temples had also been demolished for road widening purposes. Now that the flyover is completed, the AP government is planning to reconstruct these temples under the flyover, starting with the Saneeswara Swamy Temple, for which the CM is soon expected to do the puja.
The opposition and other political parties of the state are also demanding for the government to reconstruct and restore all those temples that have been vandalised all over the state so far. These account for more than 140 temples, and public funds are being demanded to be used for this purpose.
