Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy is about to discuss and sort out some major issues and topics in the upcoming cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
One of the main topics of discussion is the shifting of the administrative capital from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam. The legal uncertainties over the 3 Capital bill would be cleared by Tuesday, and Wednesday would be optimum for the Chief Minister to decide upon shifting the capital.
Several sources have also said that the Chief Minister has already advised the Chief Secretary, Neelam Sawhney, to look into the shifting of various departments to Visakhapatnam without much fuss. Now that everyone is working from home because of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, not much fuss is expected from any of the employees. And once the ongoing situation of Coronavirus subsides, everything would be functioning from Visakhapatnam, so not many problems are expected either.
On the other hand, the Chief Minister is also expected to discuss the increase in the number of districts in the state, from 13 to 25. Each Lok Sabha Constituency is being planned to be made into a separate district, but several sources are saying that it would cause many problems.
Lok Sabha Constituencies keep changing geographically from time to time, which would greatly hinder the way a district is to be looked after. This might prove to be a huge hurdle as time progresses.
As a whole, everything with respect to the state of Andhra Pradesh that has been put on hold so far, will be resolved in the cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
