There is not even a single mention about Amaravati in the newly established government in Andhra Pradesh.
Adding to it, the government undertook no works related to the capital city and even halted few construction works, citing a shortage of funds as the reason. This led to a severe dilemma among the Andhriites as to what is the new government exactly going to do with Amaravati.
YSRCP as an opposition, severely criticized TDP government earlier, saying that Chandrababu Naidu encouraged land encroachments in Amaravati, in the name of ‘land acquisition’ from the farmers. In fact, the YSRCP government now, also challenged to bring all such alleged encroachments into the public.
But on the other side, Amaravati brand value is gradually coming down day-by-day. Even before implementing the welfare schemes, a state government is supposed to concentrate on the development of the capital city. But unfortunately, YSRCP is not performing any such activities and this is creating disturbances among the local public of the capital city area. A few of the farmers said that there was never a situation of this sort in the past. They added that the capital city may be shifted to some other part of the state.

Even a few real state agents opined that the things took a shocking turn in Amaravati, after the formation of YSRCP government in the state. A TDP leader who requested anonymity, has said that the people may have to forget Amaravati in the coming days, if the government, continues to ignore it in the similar manner.
On the other side, a YSRCP leader, who requested anonymity said that, there are several other important issues to deal with, and so the Amaravati issue seems neglected by the government.
Along with TDP activists, even the leaders of other parties too opine that if there is any rivalry with Naidu, then Jagan is supposed to target him personally, but it should not be at the cost of the public money and the growth of a capital city.
