The COVID-19 is spreading at a rapid pace in Andhra Pradesh. At the time the government thinks that the severity of COVID-19 is reduced, new cases are erupting in new corners of the state. Jagan’s government is turning many private hospitals into COVID-19 care centers and already thousands of COVID-19 isolation wards are ready for the patients who are tested positive.
Now, with the exponential growth in the number of positive cases, the government need to perform the COVID-19 confirmatory tests to many people who include the infected people’s family, relatives, contacted persons, second-person contacts and third-person contacts e.t.c.
For this cumbersome task, thousands of medical kits are required for the state government. The AMTZ (The Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone) in Vizag has started manufacturing 2,000 testing kits every day that would be supplied to not only the state but the entire country.
So, Jagan wanted to take aid from outside the nation in this critical period. The government is contacting the Chinese government and it seems like the import of kits from them would take a lot of time than anticipated. Hence Jagan directed officials to deal the business with Cuba, whose medical kits are being extensively transported across the world and are being rated as high in terms of quality.
In Guntur, Nellore and Kurnool districts all the people present in those areas need to be tested and for that, the AP government has already discussed a deal with Cuba under which lakhs of medical kits will arrive the state with a few days.
