Megastar Chiranjeevi met with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy last week, at the CM’s Amaravati residence, and spoke at length about the issues that the ticket pricing in AP is causing the industry. After the meeting, while speaking to the media, Chiranjeevi said that he is confident that the CM would look into the issue and give a positive statement shortly.
Now, after a week, there’s still no movement or update about the same, and sources are saying that the AP government has decided to push the issue, for now, to concentrate on other matters. The issue is also pending in the court and the government’s committee is expected to file their counter on February 10th in the AP High Court of Andhra Pradesh.
It is also being said that the AP government is currently not in the mood to tackle the issue and that it would only look into the issue after the online booking portal for the tickets goes live. On the whole, though, it looks like Jagan has put Tollywood on hold once again, not stopping its woes. It is now to be seen if and when the AP government will do well for Tollywood.
