The first wave of Coronavirus was devastating for a lot of reasons. A lot of people suffered financially and personally because of the lockdown imposed to reduce the spread of the virus. Just when people have slowly started to open up and recover from their losses, once again Corona is scaring the Indian population with the second wave.
The second wave is said to be more dangerous than the first wave, which means that more precautions are to be taken to make sure that one is not infected by the virus. While many North Indian states have already imposed lockdowns to several degrees, the South Indian states seem to want to avoid lockdowns as much as possible.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is said to be not interested in imposing another lockdown, considering the financial crisis that the Ap government is currently in. The financial crisis was first brought upon by the lockdown, which severely affected the trade and livelihood of several people of the state.
Jagan is said to have instructed IAS officers to come up with an alternative solution to a lockdown, and to speed up the process of vaccination so that most of the population would be safe against the virus.
