YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy has met the re-elected Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi in Delhi.
Telangana Chief Minister KCR, TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu from the Telugu states and few other chiefs of other regional parties across the country, have vigorously tried to bring down Modi at the Centre and form a federal front. But nothing of that sort took place, as the dynamic PM has won with a thumping victory across the country again.
Even though most of the regional parties were against BJP, Jagan never opened up about his opinion on Modi. He was neither with BJP nor with the proposed federal front and thus maintained a strategic silence. As Modi is re-elected, fortunately Jagan is in the safe position now.
As YSRCP also promised to fight for the special category status to Andhra Pradesh and BJP, on the other side, has totally lost its control over the state, with less than 1% voting share, it should be seen how Jagan manages to convince the Centre for the special status.
When Jagan was questioned about the same after his victory, he said that Modi has witnessed a massive victory across the country. “It would be tough for us to go against him and fight for the special status, but we will leave no stone unturned to make it possible,” Jagan said.
