AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met the Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. He has been with Shah for an hour and discussed on various issues including the implementation of the three capitals for the state.
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy said that as part of the integrated development of the state, plans have been prepared to set up three capitals. Union Home Minister Amit Shah was pointed out by the AP CM that a law was passed last August making Visakhapatnam the executive capital, Amravati the legislative capital and Kurnool the capital.
The High Court was therefore requested to issue a notification to relocate the judicial system to Kurnool. He reminded that in the BJP’s manifesto in 2019, there is this matter of ‘High Court in Kurnool’.
So, it is clear that Jagan has decided to tighten the screws in the three capital issue and hence his tour to Delhi. While the opposition is very determined to ruin Jagan’s plans and the Amaravati movemnet is still going on in the capital region, it is interesting to see what will be Jagan’s course of action in Delhi.
