On January 19th, it was learned that the Chief Minister had met Union Minister Amit Shah and spoke to him regarding the increase in the estimation for the Polavaram project.
But now, it is clear that he had not spoken to Union Minister Amit Shah. Recently, the Minister of Water Energy, Ratan Lal said in Parliament that no such memorandum had been submitted to the Home Ministry by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.
In the Parliament, when YCP MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy said that CM Jagan meet Amit Shah on January 19 and February 19 and asked the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to increase the funds for the Polavaram project, the Minister for Water Resources, Ratan Lal said there was no such proposal made by Jagan and had not even given a memorandum regarding this.
