As a huge sigh of relief to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minster Jagan Mohan Reddy, a whooping 96.17% of the Indian parents stood on his side in one of the most sensational decisions taken by the AP government so far.
It is known that Jagan’s only ‘English Medium Education’ in the government schools has created a huge uproar in the state and all opposition parties made a big deal of it by criticizing the government.
Jagan, who is very confident about its decision and the impact it created on the AP people, wanted to show how he is way ahead of the other parties in making a positive impact among the state people.
The AP government conducted a survey through which all the parents in the state were handed over a form by ward and village volunteers, said educational minister Adimulapu Suresh. “After the High Court said view of parents’ committees cannot be considered, we prepared a form with three columns — English medium, Telugu medium, and other media,” he added.
phenomenally, 96.17 percent of people whose children study in government schools have given their agreement in writing in the favor of English Medium. Now, with the encouragement they acquired from this survey, the government has started printing textbooks as per the new syllabus, and teachers have been trained to teach in English, said education minister Adimulapu Suresh. Bridge courses were held to help students transition, he added.
