The YSRCP has been trying to take the entire state in its control, especially Visakhapatnam, and has been doing everything it can, to make sure that the port city is in their control. The government had sent notices to former MP Sabbam Hari recently, asking him to demolish the structures surrounding his house premises, that come under government encroachment.
Following this, the High Court had issued Status Quo orders on the issue, until the end of Monday. Now, the government, despite the Court’s orders, has issued yet another notice to Sabbam Hari, in the middle of the night, demanding him to demolish every structure in house premises that comes under government encroachment, within 3 days.
This notice has shocked everyone in the political circles, because the YSRCP directly went against the High Court orders and issued the notice to Sabbam Hari. This is not only a blatant display of disrespect towards the judicial system, but also a very open statement about how the YSRCP is trying to own Visakhapatnam completely.
TDP Chief and opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu responded to the incident, and said that the YSRCP is running the state on vengeful politics, and is fuelled by its urge and necessity to suppress everyone who goes against them, and to take down everyone who has ever opposed them.
Several other opposition members are saying that the YSRCP is the least bit concerned about any sort of development in the state, and is only focused on exacting its revenge against political opponents, by resorting to means such as midnight arrests, night time demolitions and late night notices. It is now to be seen how the High Court will react to the government’s issuance of the notice to Sabbam Hari, despite the Court’s order.
