The YSRCP faced an unexpected shock yesterday in the MLC elections with a decisive bit of cross voting, where two YCP MLAs voted for TDP’s MLC candidate.
One of the two MLAs is firmly believed to be Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy. Reportedly, Mekapati is not in touch with the YCP high command now and he is staying away from the troops.
In this context, the latest updates are suggesting that Jagan is furious with Mekapati over the cross voting allegations.
There are media reports that the YCP chief could be imposing a serious consequence to the MLA and he could not be getting the MLA ticket in the next election, it seems.
But an affirmative update on the same is awaited for now. But what’s for certain is that Mekapati could be facing a strong penalty from the YCP high command.
