The Telugu Desam Party has found a valid and strong reason to lash out at the YSRCP government. The Andhra Pradesh infrastructure and investment department’s special chief secretary Karikala Valaven recently released a GO, in which the Managing Director, AP Aviation Corporation Limited (APACL) has been asked to clear the dues of Rs. 26 crores, for hiring a helicopter from GMR Aviation Private Limited, from June 2019 to November 30, 2020.
This expenditure also includes the hiring of personnel to run the helicopter and even includes the hiring of chartered flights. This directly indicates that the chartered flights and the helicopter were used by none other than the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Reacting to this GO, which has been a major boost to the TDP, former TDP minister Ayyanna Patrudu has made a few substantial statements. He questioned how the CM could misuse such a huge amount of the people’s money, for making private trips to Delhi, and for going to weddings and other occasions.
Ayyanna also said that Jagan has used a lot more money in less than 2 years of his term, than Chandrababu had used in 5 years as a CM. When Chandrababu was the CM, Jagan questioned how Chandrababu could use Rs. 39 Crores for his foreign trips. Talking about the same issue, Ayyanna said that Chandrababu managed to bring in foreign companies to invest in AP, and asked what Jagan did, with his trips.
